Hakob Hakobyan’s Candidacy Nominated for Being Elected in the Post of Member of Commission on Television and Radio

At January 20 regular sitting, the RA National Assembly debated the issue of the election for the member of the Commission on Television and Radio.

The NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport proposed Hakob Hakobyan’s candidacy nominated by the Civil Contract faction for electing in that post.

The deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Gurgen Arsenyan presented Hakob Hakobyan’s biography and the working path.

Hakob Hakobyan, who is also known by literary nickname Hakob Movses, was born in 1952, philologist, translator, worked as a teacher, proofreader, literary worker, editor and the RA Minister of Culture.

Delivering his speech, Hakob Hakobyan has presented his ideas on media field, underlining the necessity of specially paying attention to that, as, according to him, “the information is the mouth, also the ear of the society, as well as the state.”

“Today’s all our realities, both political public are in that field,”, he said. The candidate touched upon the problems that he noticed in the video and audio media field, introduced his vision and ideas of their solution and highlighted the availability of the educational materials in the television.

The candidate answered to the deputies’ questions.
